So, all my tanks are running like pro's, no problems, reasonable maintenance. But this is too good for me, I have to tweak something. Well this little tweak cost me all day.
I decided to change the carbon and add more Fluval rings to my Fluval 206. I fish it up from BEHIND the desk below my aquarium. Mind you the only way to do this is to climb up on my desk, bend over with my fanny in the air and pull it up with a dead lift in my arms. I get it up and yes I pop one tube and out pours water. No problem easy to fix. I put it back, take apart the Fluval and put in what I want and put it back together. I plugged it in ready for it to prime right up and nothing. I took it back apart trying to see where my error lay, and put it back together. Okay so maybe I have to Prime it while it is on the floor behind my desk where I can barely reach. But I do it and nothing. So I pull it back up... again and again and again. I go to the internet to see what I am doing wrong, I call Fluval (who is closed for Good Friday) and nothing. This went on for literally hours.... then another filter wasn't working. Well it turns out I had unplugged the wrong filter in my frenzy. I tore my hair out half the day. You know what it was? I reversed the intake and outake tubes when the one popped off. Took me four hours to figure that out. My floor is wet, I smell like fish, and I am now in a foul mood.
I can't believe I did something so silly that got me so worked up.
