Issues with placement of fish tank(s) on stand.

First off, I would like to say that I had no idea where to put this, so if this thread is in the wrong place feel free to move it.

Well, the question is pretty simple, I was wondering if I could keep a fish tank on a stand like this:

As you can see in the pics, the two sides of the aquarium are hanging off the edge by 1/2"- 1". I was wondering if It is safe to do this, or would the pressure cause the tanks to break under themselves?

In this pic, there is about 1 1/2"- 2" hanging off:

If I cannot keep them like this, I will just do it normally, and make it so the front of the tank is facing outward, instead of the sides.

Thanks!

BTW, this is a 10 Gallon

I'm not a structural engineer but I would be worried of the pressure being added. I think it would be safer the other way around. Make it face outward instead of the sides

A sheet of plywood sized to fit your tanks is an easy solution. It'll give you full support and spread the load.

I'm assuming you're trying to set multiple tanks?

Yeah, I was thinking of putting something there to help support it, but I have nothing on hand to use, so I guess for now I'll just leave it 'normally'.
And I wanted to do this in order to save space, so yeah, I guess to leave room for more tanks

I wouldn't let any part of the tank hang over the edge, there isn't anything other than the frame to distribute the tanks weight. Having any part unsupported will apply too much stress than it was designed to hold. The idea to toss on plywood from the earlier post is the quickest solution.
