Some lady in my community is selling me a 90 gallon fish tank she doesnt know much about it because it was her ex bf's. She still has it in her home and is trying to get rid of it. She said she'll sell me the tank and stand with all equipment for 100$! Is this a good deal? It looks dirty but can it look like new? imageimage

Just check the seals, and water marks can be removed by vinegar and warm water.

If it's glass, I hear bar keepers friend will clean even better than vinegar. I, myself, just bought a good deal on Craigslist knowing I'd need to rehab. One thing I know is that I'll have to reseal the tank... Hopefully I won't have to take it apart and redo the silicone seams though.

For all that equipment I say yeah, it's worth it. You at least have a starting set up and can upgrade over time with sales rather than buying everything you want and dropping hundreds (or more) right away.

I would get the 90 gallon, it looks like it was used as a SW tank.

Elbow grease is for your elbow, as you'll need it after all that scrubbing locks up your elbow xD
