Is this supposed to happen, murky water Help

Even though the bag sometimes says no rinse needed it is usually better to rinse the substrate. At this point I’d do daily water changes to lower the opacity, and wait for it to go down.

That's crazy washing will remove the biological properties of this substrate

Not washing it out but rinsing it to get the dust out.

Well I only put half of substrate in so have that going for me. 2 days of ro water down the drain

Yeah daily water changes and throw some polyfiber into your filter and run some cartridges. Rinse and squeeze out the polyfiber and cartridges a couple times a day while the water is clouded.


I had this happen with sand, even WITH rinsing.

Me too. My flourite i rinsed for 2 days and it was still dusty

I drained the tank and pulled substrate.

Just let it sit a few days and it will clear up.
