Is This Sand Good For Corydoras?

I currently have Quickrete Pool Filter Sand as my substrate. I need to add more sand and I bought the exact same brand, same bag, expecting it to be the same I have now.
However, it is different. The one I have now is smaller and softer that the one I just bought.

I would be ok mixing both, but since it feels rougher, I want to make sure it will be good for cories. I have peppered corydoras.

Below is a photo for comparison. Left is current sand. Right is new sand.

Edited to add: This new sand seems to get the water dirty a lot more that the original one. I have been washing it for a while and water still comes up dirty. The first one had clear water after a few washes.

I've got pool filter sand in a 36gal planted bow front and the corydoras have no problems sifting through it. All seem active and healthy and the natural coloration of the filter sand is a nice touch.

They are both Pool Filter Sand. It is just different. I have had no problems with the white one and it is really soft and cleans nicely. The other one is rougher and makes the water very dirty.
They are both Quickrete brand.

 

Odd that they would be a different color if they are the same brand. I think mine looks more like the brown one though. Just keep rinsing it and it should clear up. When I added mine I had it in a 5gal bucket with the hose running for quite a while.

 

Yeah, that's how I always do it. I'll keep trying.
