Is this plant dying? How to fix it?

Randomfish556

This plant is brown and has been for a week or 2, all my other plants are fine. This plant has a side plant that’s really short and wilts to the side and then a bigger one attached that goes to the surface and Is green and full on top. I’ve tried moving it because I thought maybe the bottom wasn’t getting enough sunlight but it hasn’t seemed to have helped. I put some root tabs where it is but that didn’t make a difference either. Is it dying? I also thought maybe it could be algae growing on it? But I honestly can’t tell

Kinda looks like a small amount of algae on it. I would recommend cleaning the tank, and removing the algae on the glass to give the plants the nutrients, not the algae

I'm pretty sure that's hornwort. It does best for me floating instead of planted, and in any case is notorious for dropping needless when introduced to a new environment.
