Is This Normal Guppy Behavior?

Hello! So I added a new adult male guppy into my tank today. It's a 20 gallon long, but had to be divided in half for my guppy fry. This specific new one keeps swimming up and down rapidly behind the bubble wand for a long period of time. I thought he was just playing at first but he's doing it quite a lot. Is this normal? I appreciate any help or suggestions! - Caroline

Yeah, most likely. I used to have guppies and they used to play in the filter and the air pump. I wouldn't worry unless he gets hurt.

Thank you so much! I'll try not to worry too much. And very true, I'll keep an eye on him.
