Is this New Life Spectrum right for my fish?

I've been hearing all the good things people have to say about NLS, so I went and got some myself! They're the all-purpose, 1 mm Thera-A pellets with garlic. I just wanted to make sure that this isn't some kind of medicated food and that I can feed this to my fish everyday?

The food I'm using:
Omega One shrimp pellets, HikarI minI algae wafers for the albino cories
Aqueon betta pellets
TetraMin flakes, Tetra freeze dried bloodworms, and now NLS pellets for the embers, diamonds, rams

How much of these pellets should I be using at every feeding? I was thinking about a small spoonful would be about right. I'm assuming my diamond tetras and rams (got NLS because I was worried not enough flakes were falling down to the rams) are big enough to gobble these right up, and the ember tetras will nibble at the rest.

Thanks!

Welcome to Fishlore! (Because I haven't welcomed you yet.)

I think that should be just fine. Garlic is good for fishies!

Just feed what they can eat in a couple minutes. If there is food left over, take it out.

You're lucky to find nls food. I can't find it anywhere where I live. Only online.

Really? I got it at the Petco in my city, and one of the other LFS that I go to, even though its a little bit of a drive, also has it.

For foods entirely out of garlic, I don't think so. But there is a growing number of products that feature garlic as a main ingredient. I've heard that it enhances appetites for fish and also helps their immune systems.

Some forum members here feed their fish tiny pieces of garlic. There's also you can add to the tank water (garlic extract with vitamin C and something else that I can't recall). There's a ton of info about garlic right here on the forum, or you can simply Google it.

Good morning,

Garlic is said to be great to boost the fishes immune system. Too, it can act as a food enhancer for fish.

I also feed New Life Spectrum Thera +A (NLS) to my fish daily. I also use Garlic Guard twice weekly on fish treats:

Garlic juice in a jar of minced garlic in water not oil:
https://www.fishlore.com/aquariumfi...r-just-an-example-for-those-needing-it.62705/

Making your own garlic juice:

"Benefits of garlic:

Purifies blood; detoxifies; lowers cholesterol levels; lowers blood pressure; blood thinner; prevents blood clots; boost immune system; prevents heart disease and strokes; destroys cancer cells; muscle relaxant; antibiotic; antifungal; suppresses growth of tumors
Using a medium size bulb; peel cloves apart, snip off ends; microwave cloves for 5 to 10 seconds to pop hulls; remove hulls; cut the length of the cloves in thin slices; place in cup of hot (from tap) water; cover, and let sit at room temperature for 12 hrs; mash the cloves and strain for immediate use; refrigerate until needed. good for two to three weeks.
The longer the cloves soak, the stronger the solution."

The information above comes from the link below:

Storing Fresh Garlic:

I feed my fish once a day every day, sparingly. Over feeding can lead to other issues that you do not want, increase ammonia levels, drops in pH.

As long as everyone (fish) gets a bite or 2 or three, everything should be fine.

I feed my Angels NLS Freshwater Flakes w/ Garlic. They go apesh*t over it. Something's working because they're healthy, colors look great and they're always hungry. That's enough for me.

I am also feeding my fish the NLS flakes.
Do I need to give them and supplements like bloodworms or anything else with that every once in a while?
