Is this fish sick?

Hello! This Cherry barb is approximately 3-4 years and is recently showing whiteish cloudy scales. I have never seen this before. It is obviously not ick but I can’t find anything else online.
The parameters are stable where they’ve been for 3-4 years but there is significant algae currently (have recently recruited a good amount of trapdoor snails to assist.)
If anyone has seen this before please advise!
Thanks!

It's possible that it's just getting old. Fish scales change color with age. I had a jet black betta for almost five years, and in his last year of life, he turned brown. It's like graying hair. How is its behavior? Is it normal?

Behavior is perfectly normal. Swimming and eating habits are just like they always were.

I'd say Columnaris (saddleback)
That was my second guess.
