This is Sauske. He is a crown tail. When I bough Sauske from Walmart he was already ill. He would stay at the top of the tank water and he wouldnt eat. I hot some fish fungus clear fizz tabs and cleaned the tank religiously and that seemed to clear it up. Now im worried that he may have fin rot? His fins look a bit tattered. How do i post a picture to show it?

Hi, and welcome to fishlore! First off, Do you know about the nitrogen cycle? To post a picture, go to quick reply, and click on the icon at the top, third in to the left. Also, crown tail bettas naturally have uneven fins. It may just as well be Sauske's pretty fins.

Can you give us a bit more info?

Tank size? Is it heated and filtered? How often do you do water changes?

Water parameters (pH, temp, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates)?

It may just be his natural finnage, but by answering the questions above, we can rule out health issues :)

From what I can see it doesn't look like fin rot but I would need a better picture to be sure.
