Is this enough empty space for my Oscar?

Hey guys/gals, is this enough free space for my A-hole buddy? I just gave up on my Java Ferns and replanted with plastic. 70 gallons. Only Bruce lives here, he is my friend, and I hate him. Should I remove some of the plants?

Just enough room for one Oscar.
No worries, he will dig up any decor that gets in the way. Lol.

He even looks grumpy. My Oscar used to take all my substrate and make one huge pile almost to the top of the water column leaving the rest of the tank bare.
