Is This Another Disease?

Hi, my betta is finally healing from finrot, but I accidentally missed a water change yesterday. Today, I noticed a slightly red dot-looking thing in his analfin. It's super tiny and not really noticeable, but it definitely wasn't there yesterday. Is this recurring finrot, or something else? It's not totally on the edge of his fin either. Do you think it'll go away with more water changes?

He is currently the only inhabitant, with live plants. I try to do gravel vacs every day or every other day while I'm keeping up with daily water changes. His tank is heated and filtered, and he is still acting normal and eating fine. I've had him for around a year.

Parameters: 0,0,<5
Temp: 79-80°F

I believe the problem is a very small broken blood vessel
in the fin. The blemish is a tiny blood spot. The Bettas very light coloration really highlights the red spot. I don't think there is much to worry about.

I see a couple of areas that look like a hemrige.

I do agree the light color of the betta does make it stand out a bit. I would keep a close eye on it to see if it gets worse or if it gets better.

Yeah, I saw that too Dave. My first thought was Septicemia. Sometimes fish with light coloration become so transparent that internal organs, veins, ect, are visible. I hope that's the case here.

That may very well be the case.

I think that's the case, as he's had that since I got him and he's still very active. I did a water change as soon as I noticed, and it is going away right now. But is that a sign that every time I'm a little late to a water change, he's going to get finrot again?

Not necessarily, but the older they get the more they'll get it. Bettas are Unfortunately not very long lived fish.
