Is this a siamese algae eater fish ?

That's a Chinese algae eater. They get large, aggressive and are generally very poor algae eaters by the time they reach 3 inches. They also grow quite quickly and will suck/attack your other fish.

Fort it wasn't but in the shop the guy said it was a Chinese algae eater. There's a few fish which look similar. What's the best for bbabies?

Siamese Algae Eaters (SAE) are said to eat bba, but they are also aggressive and it's not recommended to add a new fish just to take care of a temporary issue. Perhaps try other alternatives, do lights out or research more about bba solutions

I have shortend the hours of the light just wondered if there was a fish that eats it.
