Is this a honey gourami or a thick lipped?

I just got this fish from a lfs and they labeled it as a honey gourami, but it isn’t as colorful as the honeys should be. I’ve done some research and I think he might be a sunset thick lipped gourami. Does anybody have any idea what it could be? Or could he just not be fully colored up yet because I’ve only have him for a couple days?

Ok thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I will have to take him back to the pet store. I hate when they have the wrong labels

I had the same problem. I ended up keeping mine though after debating with myself and thankfully I don't regret it. But it is frustrating at first being a victim of them mislabelling their fish!

I also got a thicklip with my honeys due to a mislabel (they called it a 'male' honey, she's a female thicklip). I don't regret getting or keeping her. She's a doll.

My problem is I have a 10-gallon tank so it's too small to keep him...
