Is this a good way to change my water?

BradleyQ

I have to do quite a few water changes to keep uo with my heavily stocked tanks, I do one large and one small each week and maybe one more if nitrate readings are high. What I so
-siphon half the tanks gravel
-Clean either the HOB or sponge filters in each tank once a week (take turns)
-fill my bucket with water, I put a few drips of seachem prime in the fill bucket, wait 30 seconds and then pour the bucket in.
-add a bit more prime after all water is in
- add stability after that

Anything else I should be doing?

Don’t clean your sponge filter that often, they are full of beneficial bacterias and other good stuff. I believe once a month is plenty unless they are clogged up. Same goes for the sponge in my hob only the filter floss gets changed often.

All that filter cleaning is adding unnecessary work. As Ellebrius said "once a month is plenty unless they are clogged". I clean my canister filters every 3-4 months. When I used HOBs, never more than once a month. If you add a prefilter you can go much longer between cleanings.

Try to have the temperature of the new water close to that of the tank water.

You don't need to use Stability. Save your money.
