20 Gallon Tank Is this a good fish setup for a 20 gallon with some pothos?

I have a 20 gallon tank, 24x12x16, has some pothos at the top of the tank.

I'm planning on getting some new fish.

1X Male balloon molly
1X Female balloon molly
2X Female platys
1X Male platy
Is this setup good and would it lead to too much fry?

Here's my pothos btw.

Livebearers will alway produce an insane amount of fry unless you can sell them. Guppies are the worst but platys can also produce a lot

thing is, the adults will most likely eat the babies.

Not necessarily. Some will, and some won't.

You should have 2-3 females for each male mollie. same with all livebearers. With 2 different kinds of live bearers, You are likely to end up with more fish than the tank can handle. do you have a plan for all the fry? Your tank will be full of breading-related stress, from males being territorial to females looking for places to rest. If you have a reason to bread them, go for it, if you want a peaceful tank you can observe and destress, keep all females and enjoy any fry that show up from the probably already pregnant moms

Hi Magis welcome to fishlore.

The tank will need a working nitrogen cycle and an electric filter as well as pothos.
