Monday: 3 pellets

Tuesday: 2 good-size flakes (broken into pieces)

Wednesday: 3 pellets

Thursday: 2 freeze-dried bloodworms

Friday: 2 pellets

Saturday: no food

Sunday: 1 pellet

The stuff I feed my betta:

. Aqueon color enhancing betta pellets

. Omega One betta buffet flakes

. Omega One Freeze-dried bloodworms

On Sundays I would do a de-shelled blanched pea. After you fast them. That way their systems are all cleared out. Working well.

I also add frozen brine shrimp to my bettas' diets. I do pellets in the morning, maybe flakes in the afternoon, or I switch between the dried blood worms or brine shrimp. But I feed twice a day. So there are more opportunities to switch it around.

Thanks! Will try it. I won't feed my current guy 2x per day, though, because he can seem to have more susceptibility to bloat. Out of curiosity, have you ever had a Betta who is just more prone to bloat than others?

I have not, but I have heard that others have had the same sort of issues. The deshelled pea will help with that though also. Are you soaking the blood worms before you feed them to him?

Yep. Learned that one the hard way! And oh yes, the pea is like Shy Guy's Balm of Gilead; I use it whenever his little belly gets a little too big for my liking.
