Hi everyone,
I have a male dwarf gourami with a female ( I don't know what type of gourami is she, they sold her as a "sunset" but I Think she maybe a honey gourami). Is this a bubble nest? Will my male be able to reproduce with this female? Pictures attached.

No, they are not the same species.

I've never owned dwarf gouramis but they have a reputation for violence against other gouramis. Do your own research but you might need to rehome one or the other if things go bad.

They're not fighting at all. I think by my "own reseach" that both are Trichogaster lalius

The female looks like a female honey gourami to me, which is not the same species as a dwarf gourami. If it was a honey gourami it would be considerably smaller than the dwarf. (Can't tell from the photo the size comparison)

Well then you hit the jackpot, females are rare.

Yes, if she is a Honey, then she's T. chuna. But I'm not sure. She's a little smaller that the male but not much. Here in Brazil "Sunset" is T. lalius.
Thanks for your answer!

That’s quite an impressive nest! I’m curious to find out if the two species can actually produce hybrid offspring.

You're right. They are two different species.
