Hi. I have an 11 gallon tank with two goldfish. I have an air pump that says it is suitable for tanks up to 39 gallons. I have it connected to a 10 inch air stone to create a wall of bubbles at the back of my tank, as well as an internal filter. There is no problem with the amount of turbulence in the water, my fish have no problem swimming around and enjoy swimming in the bubbles and at the filter where the water is blown out.
I was just wondering though if there could be too much aeration in my water? I have read online about the gas disease that fish can get and it has me worried. When the air pump is on (I turn it off at night but keep the filter on) there are a few tiny bubbles floating around in the water. Is this a dangerous level of aeration? Should I get a smaller air stone?
Thank you .
