Ok so I'm done with getting ALL of the substrate and decor for re-doing my 40 gallon and was wondering IF I could use some kind of plastic that could STAY in the tank so I could section off my gravel to get a river type effect?? (HOPEFULLY this isn't a dumb question) searched thru the site and found no info on this. PLEASE PLEASE someone help! thanks in advance

So you want to divide substrate in the tank to make a riverbed channel effect? If you get some of that abs plastic mow strip you can trim it down and secure it with silicon.

What is abs plastic?? But yeah like a riverbed channel effect, some kind of plastic I can KEEP in the tank without it messing with the water

Fahn, how would I use the landscape edging material? If all fails I might have to try that, stack it on top of each other to make a wall or something lol but thanks for the input I might have to try that!

Ok this is what I came out with, tink it might work since I've seen people separate their Bettas in a tank with it:
30x30cm Plastic Net Strong Black Flexible HDPE Insect Fish Mesh Screen Fine 2mm.

Any thoughts on it? Place son rocks on the top of it so it stays put? Maybe

ABS plastic is that black plastic.. as in the mow strip or landscaping border
