I thought that my dwarf gouramI would think of the fry as a snack
but he's not really paying them any attention

I was hoping that he would...

i'm not trying to be morbid
but I really wasn't looking to become a platy breeder...

i've already got some 3 fry that have grown a good bit
and plan to give them to the lfs asap

I just really don't want to keep having to raise these things...

You could always take the males out? Not sure what that would do to the aggression levels. Lets see if anyone corrects me. and if I'm not mistaken, platies can still have fry for a short period even if the male is taken away because they store the sperm somewhere.

that's right, the female can have enough sperm in them to keep having fry even after the males are removed

I see you have room for some bottom feeders.I had a south american bumblebee catfish that would eat my neons,so I would say that one of those would chow down on some fry. They are like minI flatheads, they would hoover anything neon size and below....

add a bigger fish? Some Local Fish Stores will buy your fish for store credit. my family used to do this with baby angels till the store we went to closed down.

I have been trying to find information on the bumblebee catfish
but I can't find too much

is it aggressive?
how big does it get?
aside from smaller fish, what does it eat?

but yeah
my lfs said they'll take the babies once they get bigger
but idk if they'll give me store credit for them
or at least, I haven't asked about that
