Is there any food common for Fantail and Shubunkin?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am very new to fish keeping, we have bought yesterday ( 19 litres tank) one small Fantail and 2 small Shubunkin. I have been given from the shop some Tetra Gold Fish Food, and I need help with two aspects:
- what would be the BEST common treat ( like salad, peas) for Fantail and Shubunkin? ( Today I tried a small orange slice after reading online, but I had to take it out after 2 minutes as they got scared of it)
- should I feed them twice or three time par day? Three times sounds a bit too much,nu?

I would appreciate your answer!

Thank you!

I read stay away from oranges as they are acidic and can affect Ph. Lettuce/kale on a veggie clip works good as does a cut and peeled zucchini. The best food is repashy gold for goldfish and koi. they both love that and you can feed daily. They are ALWAYS hungry so don’t be fooled twice a day should be fine. Smaller more frequent meals are preferred if you can, I do twice so they learn the schedule. Either on works just the quantity each time differs.
You may have the same issue I have and the shubunkin is fast and can gobble up the food before the fancies get any, so try to feed on separate sides or ensure the fast guy isn’t eating it all

Also forgot- they love pealed apples and pealed grapes in bite size pieces. Mine when nuts for green grapes

I hate being that guy. But I have to chime in and say that tank is way too small even for baby goldfish. Goldfish are dirty and create a lot of waste. It's not a matter of IF you'll run into problems but when. The only fish I'd put in a tank that size is a single betta.

Oh, yes, I have realised that after reading a bit last night, probably we will return the fish when they grow in few months and then just have one.
Thank you very much!

Still too small for even just 1 unfortunately. I don't know why they even sell tanks that small. They're not really suitable for fish.

You could make a shrimp tank! Would you? A tank that size is good for shrimp and snails.

I agree, 19 liters (5 gallon) is too small for any type of goldfish but is a good size for a betta or as was mentioned, snails or shrimp. I love my little 5 gallon tank.
