Is there any fast and easy way to get rid of tannin

Hey, so I just started a new aquarium, a 20 gal tank, and I got tannin for the first time in the water. At first I sort of like it but after I put in my new fish for that tank, I realize that it's making the fish look not as brightly colored. So is there any way to quickly get rid of it? I don't really want to do a water change as the fish I got were bought online and I don't want to stress them too much with the water change, they also just came in yesterday.

I had the same problem. Tannins go away with time. I had no patients either I removed the driftwood and did a water change. If you don't want to do a water change, your just gonna have to wait for your filter to take care of it.

Carbon will help remove it. Best way to reduce tannin is boil drift wood before putting it in tank. you could also soak drift wood in bucket and change water every other day until its clear.

I used Purigen to remove tannins, worked wonders... Had carbon at first but didn't really do much, even after a water change.

Boil the wood well. Will make it sink and cook off tannins.

Carbon does remove some but it depends on the wood and size of piece on whether it's enough. Purigen does a lot better job if it's going to be a long term problem or you just want something better quality and longer lasting than carbon. Eventually the outside layer of the wood swells with water and the tannins it gives off stop or at least greatly reduce. Most fish actually prefer tannins and it can help keep sensitive fish healthy or get fish to breed so if it doesn't bother you too much it might just be better to wait awhile and if you are using carbon change it more often. I get indian almond leaves to purposely add tannins and other compounds to the water for the fish and you can get blackwater in a bottle from some companies for sensitive fish from areas that have tannin rich waters.
