My cousin has this tank that hasent been running for a while but has a couple moss balls in the water and I wanna take one for my tank. Would that be okay or do I have to clean it some how? Because its sitting in stale water that has no running water or would the moss ball be fine to just plop into my tank?
Thank you in advance!!

Moss balls are pretty easy to clean, just squeeze it out in some clean dechlorinated water and it should be ready to plop on into your tank.

I usually "clean" mine by squishing and gently rubbing it in dechlorinated water. I have mine in an established tank but I do this every once in awhile and it seems to work pretty well.
