Is the coloration on my Dwarf Gourami Normal?

I've had a powder blue dwarf gourami for about two months or so. I think he may have had this dark patch when I got him, but it seems a lot bigger than I remember. Last week when I was watching him swim around it kind of jumped out at me for the first time so I am thinking it must be bigger or I would have noted it earlier. He is swimming around normally and eating normally. The only symptom is this funky spot. Is this a common thing for powder blue dwarf gourami or is he sick?

He is the only one in there. There is a male swordtail that follows him around sometimes although I haven't seen anything violent.

It doesn't belong there and it could be one of the first signs of DGD.
Keep the water clean and a close eye.on it.

Alright, I do have a quarantine tank, should I move him over to it? Or should I be doing any sort of salt dips or anything of that nature?

I'd leave it and keep an eye on it.
Don't think.any treatment is useful in this stage (but maybe other members have a different opinion).

DGD (if it is that). isn't contagious for your other fish.
