Is the clay from ohko stone safe for cherry shrimp?

Zyfrost

I recently got some ohko stone to scape for the shrimp tank i am setting up. Some people suggested I just rinse it but I cleaned all the outer clay however there is still a bit of inner clay. It does not stain my water anymore unless i use a pick to scrape on the clay inside. If the clay starts leeching will it be harmful to my cherry shrimp

I haven’t had it with shrimp but it’s fine in my tank with celestial pearl danios and cherry barbs, it’s just clay I would think it would be fine

What did you do to clean your stone?

I just kept rinsing until I got most of it out, I wasn’t that worried about it. I think I used my tweezers to get in the holes and stuff
