Hi everybody,
I bough a piece of New Zealand Exotic Driftwood a small labeled by lfs, my first piec of driftwood and got it for cheap, only 10$ normally driftwood for me is around 20-30$
I have boiled it 4 times for about 1-2 hours each time
I have soaked it in water for about 15 hours
It is releasing a very very small amount of tannins but is takes a long time of being in water for it to start making any slight colour difference,
Below are some photos of my wood in a pot of cool water before I put in my tank,
Do you think I have done enough prep before it goes in tank or should I boil/soak more? I ddon't not want tannins to leak into tank and turn to a black water tank
Sorry hard to see it because it is water logged and colour is dark
