your bettas fins look to be ripped and a bit clamped. Got any plastic plants or sharp edges in the tank?

Yes I have plastic plants and he goes in them to sleep. is that the problem?

what im worried about is that he is only staying in one corner of the tank and is just floating vertically

Can i see a photo, maybe its a issue with his swim bladder

Yes sometimes the plastic plants are sharp, and can rip fins. ( My 10 bettas all have plastic plants but they are fine because i choose soft plants) Lots of water changes and sometimes Indian Almond Leafs fix it.

Also maybe a close up so i can see if its fin rot or not ( i dont think so but you never know) Also the betta may just be sitting sleeping like that and nothing could be wrong

can i see a top view too? I feel like thats fin rot as its white and fuzzy on the end of the fins. All this can be changed with lots of water changes before medication.

I have some Molly’s in the tank as well would it be okay to put aquarium salt with them in it?

It looks like it could very well be Fin rot. But they could be Damaged from the Plastic plants. I would switch them out for Silk Plants and do frequent water changes (in case it is Fin Rot)

Id try some water changes first. Aquarium salt is usually not suggested by some but others think the opposite.

he is in a 30 gallon tank so how much water should I be changing?

I see two rips and the rest is fin rot. I would follow what you said.

You could do like %25 - 40 every couple days

Bettas are Fresh water i wouldn't recommend it.
about 7-10 Gallons (roughly 25% -30%) every week

I would not add to much salt and make sure it dissolves first. Daily i would say %25

Nobody really recommends salt because these fish have scales but sometimes it can be used.

He will be fine but don't use salt or any meds for that matter unless your fish really needs them, just do frequent water changes and replace the plastic plants, most meds are damaging or stressful in some way on labyrinth fish.
