Is my betta marbling?

Hello! I previously posted that I thought this might be an illness but some time has passed, the coloring has advanced, and she is behaving as normally as ever. This is the girl in question, with a picture from when I first got her (in March) and then how she's been changing through July:

Basically, she started with some weird coloring on her head (red/white) and it started spreading across her body, looking kind of patchy at some points (she looks pretty awkward in that July 12 stage). It looks like she's evened out into a kind of... pearly blue instead of her previous solid blue, now with layers of pink/red? I have a friend that works a lot more with bettas than I do and she thinks this is marbling/color change (not disease), but I just wanted to get some more opinions! And also show her off, her most recent picture from yesterday is quite nice

Some bettas are marketed as "marble bettas," and they usually change colours quite drastically over their lifetimes, but honestly I've found all bettas change colour a little as they age.
When I first got mine he had purple and yellow patches on his body, but now his body is almost completely black. I wouldn't consider that marbling, just some mild colour shifts. I think that may be the case here as well. This doesn't look like any disease or condition I know of, so I'd place my money on some colour shifting, but hey, who knows! Maybe you have a "marble" betta that will experience multiple colour shifts!
*On an added note, she is just gorgeous <3

Thanks! I think this is the most drastic color change I've seen in my bettas so far---in the last 8 years I've had two other dark blue ones, and the most they did was add a little red tip or white streak to their ventral fins XD

It'll be interesting to see what colours come up next! I wouldn't mind seeing updates in the future if she changes more

I'll definitely keep an eye out! I'm sure if it happens again I'll be just as concerned that it's a disease as I was this time, haha.
