So I have a planted 29gl tank and I'm having some trouble. I've tried soo hard to get my plants right and I'm not successful. I'm confused on the chems I'm adding. I have apI Co2 booster I add every day, apI leaf zone, seachem flourish and seachem flourish iron. My question is.. is the leaf zone the same as seachem flourish?? And what should I be adding and how often. I know the doses but I don't want to much of one chemical and cause more damage.. I just started out with the basic isto Co2 set so I am running Co2 now.. just confused and discouraged..

Here's the tank. There's a breeding pair of kribs and about 20 fry.

Hello!

Considering everything your using, the amount of K your using is doubled the recommended and the amount of Fe is nearly triple the amount.

Leaf zone is also not Flourish. Leaf zone has a higher concentration of K and Fe while Flourish focuses on NPK and micronutrients.

Your plants actually look pretty good, but I believe your substrate is inhibiting your root plants; most of them are primarily root feeders and not leaf feeders, so they'll need something like root tabs to provide ample nutrition to them.

Just to help with dosing -

CO2 booster should be added every day to help plants grow.

Flourish should be added one or twice a week.

You could probably drop either Leaf Zone or Seachem Iron - you don't need both, haha. I personally use Seachem Iron and dose every other day/every two days. It's kind of a trial-error thing to see what works bestest for you.

Good luck!

Hi! If you turn the bottles around you can read the ingredients on the back. You will see that leaf zone only contains potassium and iron, which means you don't need seachem iron.
Seachem flourish has a much broader range of nutrients, though it is low in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (potash).
Do you have a drop checker for CO2? It's a good idea to have one so you know how much CO2 you're injecting. What lights do you have?

Yes I have a bubble counter that goes into the diffuser. I'm getting about 6 bubbles every ten seconds. It's a little on the low side but the fry didn't take well to it and died..... for lighting I'm using the finnex planted plus...

Not bubble counter, drop checkers show how much CO2 is in the water:
