Is it ok for tank to overhang stand frame?

I have a 260 gallon that’s going to be built into a wall on one side. The tank is 84 long by 24 1/2 wide. The stands frame is 84 long by 24 wide. It will then have a piece of 3/4” plywood on top that is 84x24 1/2. So the tank it’s self will fully sit flush on the plywood but the plywood will overhang the front of the stand frame by 1/2”. I need to create this 1/2” overhang so the drywall can be attached to the front of the stand and the front glass panel will be flush with the drywall. Will I be ok since the tank will fully be under the plywood or will that 1/2” overhang of the plywood from the frame cause me problems?

Just consulted with my engineer husband and son, it will be fine, no worries.

I would not expect that overhang to be a problem. 3/4" plywood should be plenty strong enough for a 1/2" overhang.

But I'm a big fan of peace of mind. So if you're worried, you could always double up on the plywood.
