HI guys, first post. I need some help.

30 gallon, moderately planted
A-0
Ni-0
Na-10-20
PH-6.8
GH-3 ish
Temp 80.4-80.8

1 GBR
1 Apisto cockatoo
2 honey gourami
5 sterbaI Corydoras
3 rummynose tetra(was 5 yesterday!)

Added some jungle val a few days ago.

So last night, couldn’t find one rummynose. The smallest of the group. Couldn’t even find him to take out of the tank if dead. Then I noticed one of the other rummynose had a white patch on him that definitely wasn’t there a day or two before. Late last night and didn’t know what to do so I went to bed and would deal with it in the morning. One bigger patch, not small dots. This morning literally as I’m checking him and the other fish for signs of disease, he goes belly up. I pull him out immediately and he’s dead dead within a few minutes. No other fish have any signs of anything. My question is, does that seem like a fungus? Or Ich? What should I treat if no other fish have signs, but I also can’t find one to take out that is obviously dead too. All I have done is start to raise the temp Incase it is Ich.

Thanks in advance

Fungus is rare in tanks (so I've read) look up pictures of columnaris. If that's it, raising temp will make it worse. Ich is salt like grains on the fish.. doesn't sound like that's it.

Should I treat the tank? No other fish with symptoms. Been watching them all day. Every one is eating and swimming like normal. No clamped fins, no white spots.

Most likely bacterial if it is a patchy. Ick looks literally like your fish has been salted. Fungus USUALLY but not always looks cottony.
Kanaplex is my go to for bacterial infections.

I would wait and see if someone else shows symptoms. If they do I would treat the tank.

Thanks. I have some coming in. No one had it in stock around here. Also some furan-2

That’s what I was going to do but dreading waking up to more dead fish tomorrow

Right. Thought process was that the bacteria would still be in the tank and can affect the other fish. Treating based on what I think the now dead fish had symptoms of.
