Is Iranian red rainbow biting tails?

I have 1 iranian red rainbow and 2 dead assorted male guppies. Both tails ripped to shreds I also had 1 neon dwarf gourami but I took him back. Would the iranian red rainbow eat tails?

after a fish dies the tail can become a very quick snack for just about anything really.

 

Thanks that makes me feel much better. however he was tailless before death.

Yes, it is likely the rainbow. They grow to be large, active fish - the 20 is very small for them. Also, rainbows need a school or they can get aggressive with other fish.
