I need to plug a hole and I was wondering if hot glue gun is safe for fish and in the tank . I just need to use a small dab to glue a marble onto a flower pot.

Thanks

Hot glue is safe. If you're trying to attach something though, it will eventually unstick.

I bought super glue gel.
I’m trying to glue silk plants to there bases. The hole in the base is bigger than the stem on the plant. Super glue gel does not work.
For super glue to work, both gluing surfaces must touch.
In my case it looks like silicone is my only hope.

Sorry. I meant to say it did not work! I will edit my post.
The problem is the plant stem is smaller in diameter than the hole in the base.
For super glue the mating parts must touch. Like gluing two coins together. Trying to super glue the plant stem is like trying to glue a toothpick into a hole that is bigger. I hope I’m making sense because it does not work.
For this application, silicone adhesive is what’s required. The silicone fills the hole and allows the plant stem to cure inside the hole.

Super glue is fine in your tank. It’s safe, but in my instance it’s useless.
