Is FX6 enough for 100g tank

As title says. I've newly set up a 100 US gallon tank with a Fluval FX6 filter. And I'm second guessing myself if this is enough filtration. The tank is nearly cycled. The media in the filter is
Top tray, foam which came with filter
Middle tray, Fluval bio max
Bottom tray, Fluval bio max.
I use no carbon/clearmax/ purigen.

Just purely mechanical foam and biomax.

Those that know the filter please tell me how you st yours up

Many thanks

It'd be ok for a light to medium bioload. What's your stocking plan?

1 red spotted sev
1 blue acara
1 bristle nose plec
15 lemon tetra
And maybe a gbr.

I have room in my cabinet to possible fit a Fluval 306 maybe a 406. I'd rather have more than enough rather than just enough.

I've had tanks half the the size but this is my first 100

I got mine for my 110 Gallon. It works amazingly. It's a beast. It's meant for a 450 Gallon aquarium. So yes, it is enough. I run more filter though, because I'm crazy . As for Biological media, I use MarinePure. It's such a porous media that it has parts in it that a bacteria that eats nitrate lives in. I love it. Also I can't wait to see how your 100 gallon goes. I really am a fan of the fluval fx series. They are solid, we'll built filters in my opinion. But make sure you keep up with maintenance, over time they become nitrate factories. , if I ever want to use Carbon, I run it on a separate hang on back filter.

Cowfish928 this is how it looks now everything I use is Fluval. It's an Amazon themed dark biotope but not a strict biotope

Hopefully making a canopy for it this weekend if I have enough time

Wow! I really Love it. How do you scape so well? I mean it, this is a jaw-dropping scape. It's so nice. What kind of light do you run?

Thank you.

The main light unit is the Fluval fresh and plant 2.0, the tank is 80cm in height and plenty of light still hits the bottom. I have the Fluval Prism 3Watt single spot submersible light. Me and my girlfriend have arguments when it comes to placing plants hahah. I placed and attached the moss to the wood tho, which I pretty proud off.

TBH the plants that you can see I took out of one of my old tanks (I let them over grow so they would fit better in the taller tank) so they were already established and I put some root tabs in the gravel near the plants.

I would recommend replacing the middle tray of Fluval bio max with Seachem Matrix. I was struggling with Nitrates/Nitrites in my tank using the same media, and only after switching to Matrix did my problem get solved.
