One of my bettas had fin rot on his tail, or tail rot. i didn’t realize he actually had it until he’d had it for awhile, I thought he just tore it, and I've known he actually had it for about two to three weeks now. I’ve been doing 45-65% water changes every other day because I can’t medicate, the tank is uncycled because of a freak accident and we are on week 10 of the recycling, it’s taking longer because it’s a fish in cycle. It is a 10 gallon divided tank, the other betta is completely healthy. The sick betta, Atlas, only has the rot on his tail, not on his other fins or body. Whenever he looks particularly sick he gets a para guard bath with stress coat and sometimes salt and tannins. There are IA leaves in the tank. Both bettas have bright colors, are active, and eat happily when I feed them. The rot got to about almost halfway down his tail and hasn’t moved in awhile. Both act normal. What do you think? Am I making progress?
