Is coralline algae harmful in a freshwater tank?

I bought a used 29 gallon biocube, and it had some coralline algae buildup. I've been scraping away at it for a while now, and almost all of it is gone, apart from some in small cracks in the back. Is it detrimental in a freshwater tank? I don't want to hurt my fish, but I'm getting absolutely sick of cleaning this stuff up. Thank you!

Hi,
Have you tried using a solution of warm water and vinegar?
Traces of coralline shouldn't be too harmful, it might increase KH sightly as it dissolves back into the water column

That's what I've been using. I'll attach pictures of the remaining algae!
