Is buying from eBay safe?

Hello everyone!
I found a very cheap filter today on eBay and I'm actually affraid of getting scammed, as I've never bought anything online before. The filter costs only 3 dollars, so that's why I'm surprised. Apart from that, can you also tell me if I'm getting the complete set of the filter if I purchase it? I mean will I also get the tube and the plug, because all I see at the picture is the main part of the filter. Here's the link ( ), I would be very grateful if you could help me as I really really need to set up a new tank as possible, because my main one is overstocked. Thanks!

I can not speak towards the filter, but as for ebay; it is safe when using papal since you can stop the pmt/get a refund. My guess is that post is just for the sponge that goes in the filter. I would stick with what you have.

I wouldn't buy either. There in hong-con, or china or wherevever. Only buy USA. Plus I'm not sure what quality. I o ky buy from us sellers but that's my opinion. Plus it might be a scam.

i've bought loads from hong kong from airsoft ak47 rifles to 250g hard drives for the new edition xbox, quite often your buying the same as you would at home but from the place it's made so it's cheaper, but you do get the occational shoddy item, plus shipping can be pretty slow too due to customs clearance

We've bought a few things on eBay, but like stated in the above posts, only with paypal, and only from sellers in the U.S.

If the OP lives in Albania, then it's likely that the products available are limited.

As Jaysee said, buying products from Hong Kong is the same as buying them from US.... My question is since the first link was only the sponge, is this one the WHOLE filter? I need a new one since the cheapest filter in Albania costs $20.... Can you click the link below and tell me if it's the entire filter or not? Thanks

Well it says it includes:
1 x Biochemical filter
2 x Sponge
1 x Suction cup

But the part I am questioning is the power cord. 1) where is it? 2) will it fit your power outlet?

Edit: Just noticed the filter looks air powered... so you would need to have an airater and power pack for that... hmm...

Yeah, I hope it includes the power cord, that's what I ment by " the whole filter "...
About the airater and power pack, do you mean an air pump or what? If yes, I do have a water pump...

It's usually a long piece of tubing connected to a power pack... hold on, let me take a picture of mine... Forgot I didn't need to put you on hold .

Anyway, I use an air powered filter in my 2.5g Tank (which is currently empty so it's not running). But this is generally what you need... the clear tubing and the piece to generate the air. It's more an air pump than a water pump, the same type of pump that you would use for an aerator (sp?).

That clear tubing connects into the filter, and the filter is run by the air generated by the power pack. Sorry, I didn't get the actual filter in the picture. It's an in tank filter, I prefer those over HOB filters.

Hi, thank you very much again! I ment an air pump not a water pump, sorry, my bad... Yes, I have excactly the same things, so is this all I need? I attaching a picture of them... So let me get this straight: The power pack= the clear tubing and the air pump piece? Take a look at the picture and tell me if I'm correct, and thank you very much for your help!
