Is betta over weight or am I paranoid?

Now I am guilty of maybe over feeding her because she always begs for food and I fall for it sometimes.. I used to feed a lot of freeze dried foods but now just aqeon betta pellets and new life spectrum betta pellets (highly recommend). I feed normally twice a day a few pellets in the morning and a few at night. It just seems to me she’s a little chubby but I’m no expert and I tried soaking her pellets in water and putting them in but they just sink and she doesn’t see them (she’s in a bowl... long story and it’s temporary)

Doesn't really look bloated. Fasting a couple days should take care of it if you are worried.

Seems like you're guilty of more than just over feeding.... is that a fish bowl. Come on. Your fish is sick because of poor living conditions do some research. When your water is visibly disgusting without having to test your parameters that's pretty telling.

She explained that the fish was in a bowl in another post.

Since the Betta is in that temporary set up, definitely don’t give in to the urge to overfeed -bad for water quality and bad for the fish in general. I would feed her only once a day while she’s in there. Not what you asked, but try to keep up with the water changes, daily is probably best in that bowl.

Is this the betta you’re planning to put into a 5 gallon soon? I hope you’re able to get her into a more ideal set up with a heater and filter sooner than later.

Edit: also, doesn’t look overweight to me.

I didn't see the other post..doesn't explain the extreme cloudiness of the water. Water in bowls need to be changed daily regardless so...they obviously have been neglecting WCs.

Your water is not milky looking because of the plastic the bowl is made of. It's an excess of bacteria in the water column. Take responsibility and do better. Bettas should not be in bowls.

I think a heated/filtered aquarium that’s cycling will be better than the bowl as long as you keep up with the water changes, keep parameters under control, and therefore keep her safe.

Fish in cycles can be done, you just have to vigilant, and a larger volume of water will be more forgiving.

You don’t have to be rude its literally the plastic. the fish would be dead If I neglected the water For weeks I’m sorry if I offended you in Some way/about my fish keeping this isn’t my proudest moment
Like I’m obviously asking for help and advice on how to better the fish’s care

. You would be surprised what some fish can survive. I'm not offended. I just hope you get your fish into an appropriate tank soon. Same which is why im trying to be blunt and to the point. No judgement.
