5 Gallon Tank Is a pH of 7.6 alright for a betta fish?

Chomas007

I have this 5 gallon aquarium that i built for a betta and after doing a water test my pH is at 7.6. Is that ok for a betta?

Good question.
It's .1 above what the site lists as a good parameter.
But then it all falls back to what was it raised in.

The fish was raised in a pH of about 6.8-7

Where are you getting the fish? from a breeder or lfs? You will just want to acclimate him really well first then he will be fine.

Im getting my betta from BayArea Bettas. He's a bit pricy because he sells some fancy bettas but hes truly a master at betta breeding. He has some of the best looking bettas ive ever seen.

Nice! Just acclimate him well and he will be fine. Ask the seller how he does it.
