This is Skipper. He's a Blue Fronted Amazon. As best we know he's in his late 20's to early 30's.
We're his third owners. He was kept in his cage a lot when he was younger and so his wing muscles didn't develop properly so, he can't really fly and so "falls with style". He was given to my father-in-law who had him for about five to six years. Ever since my father-in-law has had him to now he's been out of his cage most of the time. He's rather spunky and likes my daughter best but will also let me handle him. He doesn't like men too much but will tolerate my husband. He likes to try and bite my son and so now they will "play" antagonize each other!
In this clip he's enjoying some homemade chicken and dumplings. He's highly motivated by food!
