Introducing Mike & Sully

Mike and Sully were adopted by us when they were two months old. They were nurse mare foal rescues. It was shortly after Monsters, Inc. came out and the horses were for each of my daughters and they got to pick the name. Mike is the bigger one and is a paint Quarter-horse/Percheron and Sully is the Appaloosa who can open doors and turn on faucets!

 

How old are they now? Looks like a lovely place you have for them.

 

They are eleven now and are both big babies! They have about four acres to themselves and of course get hay & grain each day.

 

Owning an Appaloosa is my ultimate goal in life.... So jealous!

Just know that they are usually too smart for their own good! Ours can open doors, turn on faucets, open grain buckets, and escape from the fence like Houdini! We have to bolt and pin all the doors on the barn and padlock the water spigot or my water bill is $200! He can even get spring pins off if he's got enough room!
They are also very headstrong but super sweet to those they like and they either like you or they don't. You'll know right away if you meet an appy and he likes you or not!
