Internal parasite medication for dwarf puffers

Just wondered if anybody could recommend an internal parasite med for my dwarf puffers, ive had them a couple months I started with 5 in my 40 litre and now I'm down to three.
Both died in the space of 2 weeks, they have been showing symptoms for about 2 weeks before hand, I just thought it was me being paranoid until they died.
They have gotten thin quite quickly and the spines seem out of shape slightly and colours are slightly faded they eat but always seem really skinny, so I expect parasites.
I'm in the uk so can't get hold of prazipro.

I can't recommend a specific brand, but a medicated food is best for treating internal parasites (if the fish are still eating of course).

 

Usually for internal parasites, you want to treat with medicated food and metronidazole.

 

In the UK pet shop near me these are the ones they have tried and tested, note one of them will kill inverts. Remove carbon then dose as per bottle. I have treated my puffers as a preventative measure after reading how prone they can be.

HI Vicky, I'm curious how your puffers are doing? I just purchased 7 Pygmy puffers a couple weeks ago, and 1 is very skinny, I'm assuming internal parasites too. Did the antI internal bacteria work? Thanks

 

HI unfortunatly only one of my puffers survived but I think I didnt catch it quick enough. But I think the treament worked as the one puffer that is left is lovely plump and full of energy I think I saved that one just in time. I'm getting some new ones soon to so fingers crossed
