I have panda platy that looked like it had a worm or string hanging out of it.... did a little research and I believe it may have Internal Parasite (Camallanus). it is in a tank with other fish. How do I treat and do I have to worry about the other fish now getting this?

Camallanus worms look more like small red hairs hanging out of the anus.
I'm not sure that's what you have.

Hopefully someone wlse will chime in. From that picture I'm not convinced its even parasites. I'm no expert though.

Not camallanus, Levimasole or two cycles of Fenbendazole should clear it up no problem. 2 cycles of Flubendazole will work too

Can you tell me where I may be able to get Levimasole or Fenbendazole? When I enter those into Amazon I get all kinds of other parasite meds but not these.

I dunno if you can order it online. If you live in the US then any or most pet stores would carry it

Just make sure it isn't just large poop. Did you feed them anything weird recently?

no just the normal food I feed them. It is only happening in the 4 platy, the 4 cory cats aren't having the issue that I can tell....
There's an e-mail address here:
Treating Your water with Levamisole

If you do a forum search for Levimasole and Fenbendazole you'll find several threads.

That's what it looks like to me
Should I observe them for a couple of days before I treat them for something that isn't an issue?

I would and maybe fast a couple of days, but like I said, I'm no expert,
Are they acting lethargic?

I would monitor. Just to make sure it isn't poop. The pic looks like poop

I don’t see worms. FWIW, the easiest way to get levamisole is through a feed/farm store. It’s sold as a dewormer for sheep under the name Prohibit.

I think they are good. I have never had platy and did not know they pooped stings.... They are all happy and healthy and one of my Panda Platys is Gravid... I am expecting fry in the next couple of weeks I believe....
Thank you for asking!
