Interesting new article about betta gene sequencing

For those of you who are interested in current betta research, here is an article that I stumbled across that actually goes on to say that there may be a connection between what can be learned from bettas, and how what is learned may actually be able to help build a model about human mental health, among other things.

The first part of the article sounds like fluff, but please keep reading to get to the good sciency stuff! Hope you enjoy it!

Definitely some thought provoking stuff in there. Will be interesting to see what all they can learn from this, especially the human part.

Though the darker side of me says "oh great, they are gonna make every Dean Koontz book come true, now..."

Science just makes me nervous when genetics of creatures are involved.

I totally agree. I mean, what could go wrong with messing around with genetic material, right?????

My problem is i have read too many books that the villains were a product of genetic manipulation. So yeah, articles on genetics usually trigger my very active and vivd imagination!
