I currently have Platies and Mollies in the same tank and want to add another livebearer. Would Swordtails be okay or would they crossbreed with the ones I already have? I know Endlers/Guppies will breed with Mollies and I don't want a new strain, I just want to keep them as is.

Water temp is 78F and fairly hard.

    Swordtails can interbreed with platies.

I would lower the temperature a little to maybe 73-74f currently it is a bit warm fir your fish.

Unless you have only males in your tank you are already overstocked... both of your fish reproduce like crazy

If you get all of the same gender there should be no crossbreeding to worry about...
