Getting my 10 gal betta tank set up, and I’ve run into an issue with my filter...

The intake tube is too long for the tank(??). The tube itself comes in four pieces: the curved tube that goes up into the filter proper; the flow adjuster thing; an extender tube; and the little end piece where stuff gets sucked in.

Does the end piece have to be down at gravel level, or could I just not attach the adjuster and extender pieces and have the end piece around mid-height in the tank?

If it has to be down at the gravel, I’ll have to saw the extender piece or something. :meh:

In this pic, the flow adjuster and extender are connected to each other, but left out of the filter setup, with the end piece attached directly to the curved tube instead.

Oh, good!

It is a Bio-Wheel. I was surprised at how long the tube looked when I was first assembling the filter. Glad I won’t have to try to saw the thing to fit.

Thank you!
