I’ve never seen these before. Very cool.
They are nano fish. Not a whole lot bigger than my Chili Rasboras. I think they may be about the size of a CPD.I’ve never seen these before. Very cool.
That's one Badis looking fish!
Haps and peacocks only in my Malawi tank. Most of my haps are still small except the Red Empress.Bwood22 are doing a strictly peacock tank or do u have a mix with some mbunas or haps in there at all 3 ? I’ve got all 3 but not two haps the giraffe and frontosa
ThanksThose are real nice looking fish good colours
It's a combination of the light and camera settings.Bwood22
Those photos are crisp and clean, what are you taking them with?
I just been using my I phone and takes a few try’s but can can catch good pics of the fish on the move
Question for administration are we gonna b able to post videos at any point as mentioned in previous threads it’s hard to get the fish to pose for pics lol
Those are cellphone pics, you can do it.Those are really nice pics I think I’m gonna have to learn how to do that stuff u just mentioned
May get up to like 4-5 inches, but this giant betta has passed not too long ago so I am currently on the look for a new one. I do miss my old one though, he’d always come up to attack my hand for food, or when I’d do water changes he would just circle my hand inside the tank lolNever to late for nice pics of the fishies lol how big does a giant betta get I’ve never even heard of them
They are very fun tiny fish lol. I have a 20 gallon high, for my (upcoming) giant betta with a clown Pleco, 55 gallon with my blue eyed BN and 4 rams looking for 2 more and my EBA Cichlid, then my 125 with my mixed continental tank of peacock, 2 Fire mouths, 1 JD and a Haplochromis NyerereiYea I really like the personality on the bettas u got me thinking I need to get another one lol
The fire mouths and peacocks have been in it for a few months and the JD well I got him not too long ago, but I just went ahead and did it, and I’ve told myself that if it don’t work out then I rehome my Americans. But so far so good, all getting along pretty well, sometimes if you want something and it’s possible you have to take the risk and see how it goes but must be prepared for what’s to come.U have a mixed continent cichlid tank I am in awe of that that must have been super hard to do I have 110 for my Africans and my JD,Oscar, and fire mouth in a 50 right now they are still juvenile so it’s big enough but I just bought a 100 for them to move into in the next couple months as my Oscar is growing super fast how did u go about getting the mixed cichlid tank to work my life would b so much easier if I could mix all my fish together in a 200-250
Oof, I have my 3 Americans and then 13 Africans (still looking for more Africans)Yea definitely risky business there not sure if I’m gonna try it as I have lots of Africans 16 in total and only 3 American it was already lots of work getting the balance in the Africans tank I made the mistake in the beginning and got two of each and now only have one of each except for the chittanti not sure on the spelling of that fish there is still two of those all though one recently lost an eye but after watching for a bit today think my OB might b the culprit
just peacocks 12 peacocks at the moment and the 1 Haplochromis Nyererei. Mine is an all male tank. He is barely starting to color up so maybe in a month or so he’ll be that Fire red orange with more yellow and maybe greenYea it’s tricky to get more Africans into an established tank as u gotta add a few at time and make sure they don’t look like any of the others do u have a mix of haps, peacock, and mbuna? That’s what I got going on in my African 2 haps 8 peacock and 6 mbuna and one cuckoo catfish that makes it so I have no breeding going on in there witch is good but disappointing at the same time lol
Omg....i didn't know you went back and bought the Jack Dempsey! Lol.They are very fun tiny fish lol. I have a 20 gallon high, for my (upcoming) giant betta with a clown Pleco, 55 gallon with my blue eyed BN and 4 rams looking for 2 more and my EBA Cichlid, then my 125 with my mixed continental tank of peacock, 2 Fire mouths, 1 JD and a Haplochromis Nyererei
A 1 inch Peacock could take 3-5 months to get to the 3"+ range. At that point (when hes big enough) i would add 3-4 fish in the main tank at once so you don't add 1 single target.I feel ur the best person to ask this how long will it take for a 1 inch peacock cichlid to get big enough to go in my main African tank I seen an OB today at my local petsmart and has such nice colours I had to get him but I know for sure if I put him in there now he will b a snack so I have him housed in a ten gallon till he gets swim size but I’m also worried that he won’t grow big very quick in a ten gallon and if in there to long risk him not growing properly and possibly dying I was thinking about sectioning of a portion of the big tank with mesh and putting him in there what’s ur thoughts on what to do ?
Pic of him idk why I keep calling it him I have no clue as to the sex yet lol
he’s doing good so farOmg....i didn't know you went back and bought the Jack Dempsey! Lol.
Hows he doing?
