Can any one tell me are the inline heaters any good or not worth the money.

I had a hydor inline heater on my canister, and it was one of the best heaters I ever had, it never let the temperature drop more than a degree from what it was set to.

So, as far as them being worth it, yes as long as you get a reputable brand, they are also favored for the reason that they aren't visible inside the tank.

I have a hydor on my canister (also a hydor) and it works great. keeps an extremely stable temperature and nothing is in the tank which is big plus for me.

I don't have hydor filter but my hoses are 5/8 same as the inline heater I was looking at on Amazon

I keep my tank right about 79, in a house that is consistently 74. it is a 90 gallon tank I don't remember what wattage mine is as it is 3 years old.
