so I recently inherited a 95 gln tank from afriend that left the country.
It has
20 tiger barbs

20 rosy barbs

5 rainbow sharks

4 bala sharks

4 glasscats

6 black stripe tetras

I'm looking for anything I might need to watch out for as ive never had this combo before.

Let me know if there is a worst case scenario looming in the aquarium in your heads

Welcome to fishlore!

Rainbow sharks are territorial so you just want 1 also I'm surprised they haven't attacked the bala sharks.

Bala sharks need to be in groups of 6+ and get to a foot long and need a much bigger tank.

Glass catfish need to be in groups of 6+

They are all 3 inches in size now so I'm thinking I have some time to get the sharks back to an aqua store...

Maybe I'll trade them in for more glasscats and some neon tetras

Thank you for the advice. Appreciate it.

Any other fish you think might go well with the others once the sharks are exchanged?

What sort of fish do you like?

Once the sharks are gone the bottom will be empty so I recommend a school of cories or kuhlI loaches.

Definitely loaches... But cories might be interesting to have as I've never had em.

Setup is not far off being okay in my opinion, hand in 4 rainbow sharks and keep one, add another 2 glass cats they like large groupa of six or more and take out the bala sharks they swim fast, get 10 inches and need 6, realisticly need a 300 gallon+ to thrive, other than that id leave it alone

I would choose between the cories or loaches as they are both schooling fish and need to be kept in groups of 6+ and occupy the same area of tank.

So you could do this
20 tiger barbs
20 rosy barbs
8-10 glasscats
8-10 black stripe tetras
10-20 kuhlI loaches or cories

Ok so another friend was leaving the country and had to dump his fish in my aquarium ... So when I got back I realized that now my 95 gallon tank has

• 16 tiger barbs
• 14 rosy barbs
• 2 rainbow sharks
• 2 bala sharks
• 12 glasscats
• 3 black stripe tetras
• 6 Chinese algae eaters
• 4 clown coaches
• 4 zebra loathes
• 2 fire eels
• 20 zebra danios
• 1 elephant nose
• 1 black ghost knife fish

• 10 tiny gold barbs

It seems peaceful.... Or maybe it's the calm before the storm....comments ?
